Everybody is looking for the fountain of youth. It is the spring that restores the youth of anyone who drinks or bathes in its water. Such folklore has been circulated for thousand of years all over the world.
Did Carolyn Hartz find it? How could she possibly wear bikinis and look stunning at the age of 70?
Carolyn Hartz is an Australian businesswoman and a grandmother who actually looks not even half her age. She has been sugar-free for 28 years, but she was once a sugar addict before and diagnosed with pre diabetes. In order, to restore her blood sugar level she has to quit all sweets. According to her, metabolism slows down as we get older so it means that we have to take control and make healthier choices. One of her rules is “to watch what you put in your mouth”, she said that being mindful of what we eat is a huge factor. So instead of using sugar, she uses Xylitol as a substitute,. It is a healthy sweetener that’s extracted from berries and some vegetables Good thing, she actually owns SweetLife, she sells sugar-free products and writes cookery books as well.
Aside from cutting off all those sweets from her diet, she also mentioned other youthful secrets. First, is a good night's rest because it is when our body heals and rejuvenates. Next, is being aware of the damaging effects of the sun so putting on sun cream is very important. Then, she’s also a fan of regular exercise and last but not the least, to stay positive. She said “Be happy for everyone and never worry about your age. Train yourself to see the glass as half full. The day is partially sunny, not partially cloudy."
Despite all these youthful tips, Carolyn got a lot of negative comments and reactions from the netizens.
