Energy drinks are intended to boost energy, alertness and concentration. They can provide you a required boost once that mid-afternoon slump sets in, or you’re making an attempt to operate at work or college on solely two hours of sleep.
However, there is a downside towards energy drinks, they are not all they are advertised to be. Of course, they have the ability to transform exhaustion, but they also have negative effects on your body. Some health professionals have warned that energy drinks may have harmful consequences, which has led many people ask the BIG QUESTION- are Energy Drinks Healthy?
Brianna shared her story on Facebook about her husband, Austin who almost died because of consuming too much energy drink. Unfortunately, her post on the Endres Photography Facebook page has been deleted.
This incident happened when Briana was pregnant with their first child, Austin started working for long hours so he began drinking energy beverages to boost his energy, until such time that Austin rushed to the hospital and doctors revealed that he was suffering from brain hemorrhage, a serious medical condition which is linked to excessive consumption of energy drinks.
Based on toxicology test they did to rule out drugs, they believed it was due to his excessive consumption of energy drinks.
Brianna said “ Being pregnant is supposed to be one of the most amazing journeys you will ever embark on. You’re creating a new life. You are experiencing unconditional love for someone you have not even met. Austin and I were so excited to meet our little boy. To bring him home. To be a family”
While Austin had to undergo series of surgeries and was still as sleep, Briana gave birth to a baby boy and when he finally woke up for the first time, he was able to see his son, two months after birth.
Due to his multiple operations, Austin has a hole in his skull and permanently disfigured.
Brianna added: “He isn’t the same man I fell in love with, but I still fall further everyday. We are fighting to help him recover . To make his life better. One day we will get there”
Nonetheless, according to Snopes.com the link of energy drinks to brain hemorrhage based on Briana’s post is still unconfirmed due to its lack of medical evidences if the cause of her husband's condition was because of too much consumption of energy drinks.
