Flakka is a synthetic stimulant of the cathinone class developed in the 1960’s that has been sold as a designer drug. It is made from a chemical cousin of the amphetamine-like drug found in bath salts. It was first marketed as a legal high alternative to ecstasy, but users have been trying to abuse it since it was developed.
Use of the drug, which can be snorted,smoked, injected and swallowed has been linked with serious and sometimes deadly-behavioral problems.
This new synthetic street drug is really dangerous, symptoms and signs include bizarre behavior, agitation, paranoia and delusions of superhuman strength and sometimes causing users to act like zombie. It can also cause permanent psychological damage, worse it’s likely to cause heart failure.
Authorities have been sharing videos and pictures of people under the influence of flakka on social media sites, some users were running naked, others were destroying some stuffs. Those people who use it can suddenly lose their sanity and may actually lose it permanently.
Flakka or so-called “zombie drug” is now disguised as gummies, so authorities are warning all parents to be very careful since this street drug is now being disguised and sold on streets as gummy candies.
Drug dealers are doing it to avoid authorities being detected from their illegal acts. Moreover they also want to attract younger users as well.
This drug “Flakka: is mostly manufactured in China according to the US National Institute. It was became popular because of its price. The street value is just only $5 thus make it very affordable to anyone.
