Hunger is when your stomach contracts and is empty, your brain then signals your body that it’s time to refuel by consuming food. When your stomach stretches out enough to press on your vagal nerve, this signals your brain that you have consumed enough food, and prompts you to stop eating.

Research has shown that high protein foods, dietary fibre and water made people stay full in a “not hungry” state for longer than people who consumed bakery products. Eating a balanced diet plays an important role, so your body will not crave for what it's missing.


Here are some five healthy foods that will surely make you feel fuller  longer.


#1 Potato




Be careful on how you eat your potatoes, because eating them fried with tons of  mayonnaise, butter and cheese will just turn a fairly healthy meal into a fatty one.


A potato that is just baked or boiled has a very low calorific value for its size and weight, so should fill you but not mean excess carbs. To make it tastes delicious, it would be better to eat it with greek yoghurt instead of high-calorie condiments.
